Hog Dog PRESS, January 1984 "All About Adam & Eve"
Hot-Dog PRESS was a Japanese magazine published by Kodansha. It was launched in 1979 as a kind of male-oriented “culture/fashion & lifestyle” magazine, aimed mostly at young men (especially male college students). During the 1980s and leading into the early 1990s, it gained popularity for covering not just fashion but also lifestyle, dating guides, and elements of youth culture — serving as a kind of manual for young men navigating love, leisure, style and modern urban life in Japan. Over time it became known for “dating-manual” content, helping shape youth dating culture (for example around events like Christmas and Valentine’s Day) in the “bubble era” of Japan’s economy.
